The Triumph family of mirrors are reasonably well designed, but when set up to give a good view of the road the riders shoulders and arms tend to intrude into the field of view. Many riders have asked if there is a quick and easy way to widen your field of view.
To overcome the problem we developed special aluminium extension rods, available in Black finish. The Black finished rods are to be used with black mirrors on models such as the Scrambler but work equally as well on other Triumph Tiger variants.
Each pack contains 2 x 35mm long rods which can be used as a single or double length extender rod, giving either 35mm on both sides or 70mm on one side for a wider view.
Why aluminium? Experience tells us that steel extension pieces add to the mass at the top end of the mirror arm and make vibration worse, not better. Also, Bottom mounted "Offset" wideners accentuate vibration causing "Ghosting"
With our Alloy extenders fitted, during tests mirrors on a Thruxton remained clear up to and over 85mph.
