Fantastic quality x pipe, fitting is not easy on the Thruxton R but that is nothing to do with the quality of this product, it’s a carbon copy of the origional cat when it comes to dimensions and bolt locations, the design is much better than others I looked at, the flow inside is beautifully designed, fitting took me 4 hours in total with a decent socket set from Halfords, you need patience and plenty of tea, but it’s not beyond anyone with reasonable spanner abilities, Once finished fitting, I started the bike without touching the throttle, let her heat up till the fan came on, once the fan stopped I turned ofvthe ignition, that’s all that required for the ECU to adjust to the extra flow, I have the Euro Vance and Haynes, but I have drilled out the very end of the baffle, which had made a small difference to exhaust gas flow and sound, but she still sounded muted until now, wow what a difference, seriously chalk and cheese, you can tell she’s breathing properly and the sound has bite, fully recommend this mod, I’m going to fit the plug in fuel module next and see if we can squeeze out even more performance.
